Recently i got interested in culture of India. I absolutely adore their mythology and devotional stories as well as very specific art style. So since couple of years now i am making paintings, inspired by indian culture. Of course, there are other sources of inspiration and i am always ready for an experiment!

I am welcoming myself to DevianArt. I am very new here and... honestly saying.. Still there is lots to understand.
Probably i also would have to introduce myself. My name is Katya (yes, i have my longer name, that you can see in passport - it's Jekaterina, but many people find it hard to pronounce). I am 30 years old and i have a BIG desire to paint. Probably, i would just paint days and nights... But unfortunately there are many more things to do.
About my paintings... Well... In past few years i am really being inspired by traditional Indian arts style, called Kalamkari. Of course, others are important too... like Moghul style of paintin
